Timothy R. Bryans, LL.B. M.S.Sc* TEP**

Timothy Bryans was educated at Trinity College Dublin where he gained an LLB in Law and Queens University Belfast where he gained an MSSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice. 

Before starting his apprenticeship with McAteer & Co in 2000, Timothy worked for the Investigations Unit at the National Irish Bank in Dublin. Timothy currently conducts a varied workload across both the Business and Private Client departments of the firm.  
In the Private Client Department, Timothy manages the Family Law unit, with particular focus on ancillary relief (Court determined financial settlements.) In response to the increasing net worth of our private clients, Timothy has developed the specialist area of drafting pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.  

In order to offer a non-court alternative and provide the best possible client care to clients undergoing the stress of divorce, Timothy has also trained as a collaborative lawyer.

Timothy also assists Ciaran McAteer in the specialist area of acting for victims of physical, institutional, clerical or childhood abuse.

In the Business Client department, as well as conducting litigation and Insolvency work, Timothy has particular interest in commercial property, and recently gained the Certificate in Commercial Conveyancing from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at Queens University Belfast.  

Timothy has also developed the specialist area of Credit Union law within the Firm and acts for an increasing number of Credit Unions in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Timothy’s long standing interest in music has helped develop the firm's specialist music and related media law unit.
