Celebrating over a quarter of a century in practice, McAteer & Co Solicitors was founded in Belfast by the current Senior Partner Ciaran McAteer in 1983. A merger with RS Haslett Solicitor in 2000 and with John R Keir & Co Solicitors in 2006 has strengthened our reputation as a client focused, proactive and commercially aware law firm.

We also have established the specialist areas of representing victims of sexual, physical or emotional abuse, charities law, credit union law, will trusts for disabled beneficiaries, media & music law, transport law, including railways and the retail motor industry.

We recognise our clients often require access to timely and cost effective legal advice beyond Northern Ireland; in the Republic of Ireland, Great Britain or further afield. Whilst entirely independent, we are a member of Lexlink, which gives you access to an international network of law firms. In turn we often receive instructions for international corporations and individuals doing business in Northern Ireland.
